As the year ends with a cold snap it is more important that your pet is not just put out for the night, they are part of your family and need to be cared for.

A little bit of love & attention will be repaid many fold & not forgotten.
Cats and Kittens needing Homes

We have a wide variety of ages, colours and different temperaments of cats to be homed. Could you let one of these less fortunate felines into your life?

Buffy
Buffy is a 2 year old Black & White girl who would appreciate an outdoor home.

Kitty
Kitty also came to us from the vets after her owners decided she was too much of a handful, when she became a little aggressive, she is now progressing to be a lot friendlier, if a little frightened of men

Cindy
Cindy has nurtured her 7 kittens to be a lively lot who have all now been homed.

Scruffy & Thunder
Mum & her final son who was born during a rain storm last June, Scruffy would suit an out door home, while Thunder would appreciate a new dry & comfy home.

Kenny, Kermit & , Kevin
Kirsty’s kittens were a wildie bunch who are slowly coming round to the quiet life and with love & care will be good companions.

Sushi
Sushi is a black girl whose owner no longer wanted her, she is a spicy lass who will put up with humans but does not like the company of other felines.

Kinkin
Kinkin is a black & white 11½ month old lass from Euxton of Polish extraction, she is a very friendly lass who understands when she is called for food or a tickle.

Bruno, Brutus & Blaze,
This litter of 20 week old kittens from Preston are full of fun and would love lots of room to run around in & a cosy place to sleep in.

Becks,
Becks is a 3 year old black & white lad from Rawtenstall who might make it as a footballer but more likely to be a sideline supporter, lazing his days away between snacks.

Marble
This Persian girl was no longer welcome at his previous home and has now settled into a pleasant life.

Binx
Binx is the last of the mixed family from Preston, he is still looking for a home.

Jilly & Grace.
Jilly was a good mum to 4 little healthy monsters who were born overnight without us knowing about the delivery, Glen & Garfield have already found new homes.

Becky
Becky is an 18 month old Black & White lass from Burnley who is quite affectionate.

Nero
Nero’s brother Samson has been homed this black lad aged 14 months from Preston would like a home of his own.

Aero
Aero has seen her sibling Fudge go to a new home, she is 18 weeks old, her brother has a new home, she is full of fun & enjoys playing with the older cats and is very sociable.

Bounty.
Bounty is also from Chorley who is 18 months old.

Boots.
Boots a tabby lad remains with us after Bridie & Boris have gone to new homes this 18 week old from Blackburn had to fend for themselves a little, and gave a little hiss & a spit is now a happy young lad.

Archie, Avril, Astrid, Arthur & Albert.
Yet more youngsters who have come from Houghton, this bunch are a feisty collection of Black and tabbies who all have a lovely thick coat, they will soon be ready for a new home of their own

Poco
Poco has been left behind by & Paddy he is now 20 weeks old, a short haired black lad from Chorley who has fun all day long unless he is asleep.

Twinkle & Sparkle
Two bright little girls from Darwen are 11 months old Black & Whites and will bring light to any house they get chance to make their home.

Anna + Milo, Mickey, Mitch
Anna gave birth to her kittens who are now 20 weeks old, this year she has been our super mum fostering Tabitha’s 5 at various times to help with being hand fed, before we lost them all and has now accepted a three week old that came along with Basil, Bentley & Friends

Sasha, Sadie & Smokey
Sally’s kittens are two black & White girls and a Smokey Black lad are from Nelson are aged 19 weeks who are ready for a new home.

Sophie & Sylvester
The remaining two of a family of 6 of mixed colours arrived from Leyland after being dumped in a dustbin.

Wendy
Wendy, a tortie lass is a 15 month old mum whose family have moved on to new homes, she is looking forward to her new home.

Basil, Bonnie & Friends
A load of busy Bees whom we are still trying to find new homes for these 20 plus, Black or Black & White cats who are quite friendly, aged from 5 months to 3 years, due to their owners health problems.

Cutie, Cato & Coco
Cutie came from Burnley complete with three day old kittens, she has had her problems having to be operated on within a few days, but was a real good mum looking after her kittens.

Daisy
Daisy arrived from a recue in Blackburn at 2 weeks old, on the same day as Cutie arrived, she was reared by Cutie along with her own three and is now 9 weeks old

Coral
Coral is a 21 week old Tortie lassies from Clitheroe who is very lively and friendly.

Olivia
All of Olivia’s kittens have now been homed, she so much looks forward to the day she can have a home of her own.

Angel
Angel is a Black 18 week old lass who is a real loner, she would suit a home where she would not be bothered and left to get on with things in her own way.

Yorkie
Yorkie is a chunky young black lad of 13 weeks old who loves to run & play all day.

Sindy & Sky
Two 6 week olds came from Hoghton are 2 little black lasses who are now 17 weeks old and love to get to the front of the queue when it comes to feeding time. A week or so later they were followed by their siblings:

Sheba & Samson
These two tabbies are also 17 weeks old and are a little scarred but are not too timid, they will soon be ready for a new loving home.

Amber & Tigger
These two 7 month olds, a Black lass & a Tabby boy came to us from Blackburn

Twinkle
Twinkle is an 8 month old Tabby & White lass from Preston, who was described as being 8 weeks old on the phone, a bit difficult as she was pregnant when she arrived.


Cats and Kittens Homed

Lenny & Snowball
Two of a mixed bag from Preston have gone to new homes in Astley Village & Chorley.

Spencer & Sherry
Two of the family of 6 of mixed colours from Leyland that had been dumped in a dustbin, Spencer made a friend in Lenny and has gone to live with him in Astley Village, while Sherry has gone to Chorley.

Shelley
Shelley came to us after a call for help from Chorley Council, this 18 month old Tortie & White lass is now happily at home in Tarleton with one of our members.

Owen
Owen is the last of Olivia’s kittens to go to a home, he has left mum behind to go to Preston

Primrose & Poppy
The two youngsters were dumped on our doorstep when I was out @ the vets one cold morning and almost got mistaken for a box of Jam Jars apart from the attention being shown to the box by our own cats, they now have new homes in Euxton & Darwen.

Sandy (Onion)
Sandy came to us as a stray in Sandy Lane, Brindle. He had been hanging around for a week or two as an obvious pet & a Pedigree we had him scanned @ the vets and were able to trace his owner via the chip to find out he had been missing for 6 weeks, we were happy to reunite them.

Leo, Snowy, Sophie & Dusty
The family of 4 week old kittens were brought to us from Blackburn, with mum who was quickly reunited with her owner all have new homes, Dusty & Snowy together in Chorley, Leo in Walton-Le-Dale & Sophie in Farrington.

Summer
Summer came to us from Preston with Sindy & Sky who she has left behind to go to a new home in Darwen.

Cherry
Cherry came to us from Clitheroe and has gone to a new home in Leyland.

Harry
Harry was a young lad from Clayton Brook came in as a companion to Onion who has joined the Sponsorship scheme, he has a new home in Chorley.

Maisie & Megan
Two kittens born in care in August have gone to new homes together in Knuzden.

Catie
Catie, a 4 year old Black & White lass from Preston who was our 100th resident this year in July, she now has a new home in Penwortham.

Evie
Evie came to us from Preston as an unwanted pedigree. During the weekend we were away in Scotland for a Fund Raising Event, Sandra fell in love with her as she was helping Jennifer to look after the cats, they are now both happy at home in Bamber Bridge.

Donny
Donny came to us from a rescue in Blackburn aged 2 weeks, was fostered by Cutie along with her kittens to be a healthy lad who now has a new home in Walton-Le-Dale

Spike
Spike was one of three kittens from Hoghton aged 7 weeks on arrival, he now has a new home in Adlington.

Bessie
Bessie was a 10 week old kitten from Blackburn who now has a new home in Longridge.

Stardust
Stardust came to us from the RSPCA as a heavily pregnant 1 year old, after 2 weeks of good food & TLC, producing nothing a visit to the vets, puts this lass on a diet.

Pansy
Pansy is sparky little girl who is a very attractive Tortie Tabby, she has started to make friends slowly and would need an understanding home.

Leo
Leo is a12 week old Tabby lad from Longridge who would like a home of his own

Holly & Kittens Angel, Ivy, Tinsel, Cracker & Robin
Holly a 12 month old black lass, was collected from Nelson in 4 inches of snow & Ice, early in December after being found out in the cold with FIVE white kittens, who, when thawed out turned black.
The kittens are very small but feeding well and developing well despite a rough start to life

Romeo
Romeo is a semi long haired Ginger & White lad who is very friendly and would love to share his affection to someone in a loving home.

Scooby & Mitz
Two 6 month old lads came from Blackburn as they were shredding the Blown Vinyl wall paper, much to the Husbands annoyance, was there ever a better scratch post, not wishing to risk a marriage break up the lady of the house asked us to rehome them.

CATS HELPED
A cat was treated @ the vets as a stray, when returned to its local area it owner was identified, but could not afford its treatment.

A Cat with an abscess had it removed and returned to its owner.

Our equipment has also been busy with other people either trapping cats or loaned out for injured felines to recover and convalesce in.

Please, do remember to have your cat Neutered or Spayed to avoid any unwanted kittens.

The Senior Citizens
Some very special Cats, Gone but not forgotten

Midgely
Midge had not been with us long but was a real character, she had serious liver problems, after catching a chill it was too much for her to cope with.

These folks are a collection of older cats who are well past their pensionable age and want to enjoy life to the full.

Barney
Barney remains a happy chap despite his many problems and has turned out to have epilepsy and in need of constant care, he has lost his front left leg in a car accident, the Aliens, are now a little out of his reach .

Boomer
This Happy girl, who is a long haired tabby & white had been abandoned in Blackburn and would not settle with the neighbours cat who was feeding her, she is still a little bully and occasionally grumpy, has now been diagnosed as having been developed Kidney problems.

Guy
This fine fella turned out to be a lot younger in reality than everybody thought, he has a Liver problem, but loves to play with the kittens, which keeps him young at heart, he now has an Inner Ear problem which has meant him having an Operation to have a number of Polyps' cleared out.

Jessie
Jessie is a real youngster @ 17 but her owner was moving and didn’t want to take his cats with him, the previous day he had had his other, older cat put to sleep @ the vets Jessie is a very pretty silver cat with a chinchilla like coat. She keeps her self very much to herself, unless there is food about.

Lulu
Lulu is an 20 year old Tortie lady, who is a pain, her owner has cancer and could not look after her. She is a cute lass who is as friendly as could be if she feels like it, but is not too keen on the other cats.

Tut
Tut is an old lad who had been left in a flat for 3 weeks when his owner moved away. The Landlady found him when she was preparing the flat for the new tenants. He is a grumpy chap who has already gained the nickname "King Tut" as he seems to think he is above all others.

Tinkerbelle
Tinkerbelle is an lady of 17½year old lady who enjoys getting her own way, she puts up with the other cats but keeps pretty much to herself, but does share her affection with humans and likes her food.

Sam
Sam is our new older gentleman who likes to take things easy, and is a gentle giant with a pleasant disposition.

Susie
Susie is an old lass of 16 years who enjoys a quiet life whose owner had died after having her for 16 years

Mrs Winston
Mrs Winston has had a sex change this month following a little check up at the Vets, he is now an old doddery lass who likes her home comforts and want no more that a comfy bed, until there is food around when she can be seen dancing to get your attention and the smallest morsel.

Rogue
Rogue is an 23 year old guy who looks like a lovely old rogue with severe liver problems he loves to be left to have a quiet time.

The Younger Ones
These folks are the harder, if not impossible to home, due to their personality or health problems.

Vicky
The little girl from Colne, is now 4 years old, has a lung and liver problem brought about by the state she was in when she was picked up, struggling to breath. and has now developed Throat Cancer.
She is now a happy little soul with many more problems and much in need of lots of TLC.

Rosie
Rosie is now 3½ years old, who looks to be about 6 months old, her multiple problems, have been whittled down to her needing a Liver Shunt, When she went in for her operation the Vets were unable to get to the area they needed and could not complete things, she is well but will always have her problems.

Noddy
Noddy is a sweet lad who has been homed twice, but because of his problems, he has been returned to us. He suffers from brain damage which causes him to swing his head and run around in circles, he has recently started to have an odd fit now & again.

Bug
Bug is a young girl who suffered a severe blunt force trauma to the face, it resulted in her having half of her lower aw removed due to the extensive damage. Despite her permanent smile and constant dribbling, she is a happy girl and love to play all day.
